PHOTOGRAPHY by YOURS TRULY
I'VE BEEN LEANING MORE ON doing artsy projects as opposed to pursuing my fashion style ambitions. Because art student is a lot harder than it looks and taking outfit photos can get a bit 'routiney' and repetitive, taking photographs and going to art exhibits has become a cycle but one that includes a variety.
The 2nd unit of my photography course has begun, and here's one of the first shoots I had in the topic of Multiple Images.
The concept is simple. I've taken multiple self portraits and juxtaposed them, creating a sense of movement in each one. The element of 'movement' is vital in photography, and the whole concept of taking a photograph of something as it is moving is something that encompasses the matter. Not only do these photos juxtaposed with one another serve as an idea in the concept of Multiple Images, but movement as well.
I've based my inspiration on Andy Warhol's photography as well as works by Lorna Simpson.
